Controller

This newly created role will be responsible for leading the Accounting and Finance functions for retail/consumer services focused portfolio company of a Private Equity Real Estate Firm. This business is growing, sits within a very stable industry, and this person will have the opportunity to build out the function as a part of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.



Responsibilities will include:

Full ownership of FP&A and Controllership duties for a PE-backed start up in the retail/consumer services industry.
Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and financial management.
Design and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Work alongside CEO and other business leaders to develop a best-in-class Accounting & Finance function alongside company growth.
Participate in M&A activities for newly acquired properties.


This role will be most suited for those with experience within a Real Estate Investment Firm (Developer & Owner), with 10+ years of experience and 4+ years in a leadership capacity. CPA highly preferred. Located in Greenville, NC or Charlotte, SC.
